365/365 - 10.08.14

Me and Aislinn by the famous Japanese bridge in Hoi An, celebrating the end of our first amazing year in Singapore!

364/365 - 09.08.14

Tea galore!  Aislinn pours her green tea and I savour a delicious iced lemon tea.

363/365 - 08.08.14

The view from our hotel balcony: the rice fields and the sunset.

362/365 - 07.08.14

We cycled (and survived the manic traffic) to the Pottery Village, where Aislinn and I tried our hand at making little clay pots.  Mine was one of the wonkiest in history.  The potter's wheel was turned by the leg power of whichever family member happened to be lurking closest to the wheel.

Only Aislinn was brave enough to launch herself off the roof into the pool below!

351/365 - 27.07.14

On Koh Tao, we were lucky enough to stay at the Monkey Flower Villas: we had a suspended bed, our own pool , enormous 'picture windows' which overlooked the pool and the bay and a Fairy Bridge up to the roof!

350/365 - 26.07.14

Aislinn in the pool, looking down at Sairee beach.

349/365 - 25.07.14

Aislinn on the back of the jeep, Dave enjoys breakfast on the beach, me in a longtail boat, ready for a day snorkelling.

A couple of ice cold ciders hit the mark, downed at Tango's in Holland Village.

337/365 - 13.07.14

Normally this storm gully is as dry as a bone.  The monsoon rains transformed it into a torrent!

Enjoying Thai cuisine at Mai Thai, Holland Village, Aislinn with friends Alyx and Olivia.

The view from my sun lounger!

326/365 - 02.07.14

As thank you presents go, this bottle of champagne (merci, Veuve Clicquot) has to be the one I am most thrilled with!

Red bamboo, so pretty.

324/365 - 30.06.14

Not something easily found in Adsa.

323/365 - 29.06.14

The Greek Gods of Year 5 wait with the excited audience before the start of this year's epic Tanglin Idol show.  'Greece Lightning' was undoubtedly the highlight of the afternoon, with slick choreographed moves designed to make John Travolta green with envy.  I can only say: we were robbed!!

322/365 - 28.06.14

This is 'Planet', a giant sculpture of a 'floating' sleeping baby (apparently a depiction of his own son) by British artist Marc Quinn.  It is on display at the Gardens by the Bay.

321/365 - 27.06.14

Lucky Dragon on guard.

320/365 - 26.06.14

At Al's we watched as our pratas were whirled and twirled with consummate ease.

319/365 - 25.06.14

I happened to come across a pack of Teen Wolves down on Orchard Road.
