The Greek Gods of Year 5 wait with the excited audience before the start of this year's epic Tanglin Idol show. 'Greece Lightning' was undoubtedly the highlight of the afternoon, with slick choreographed moves designed to make John Travolta green with envy. I can only say: we were robbed!!

This is 'Planet', a giant sculpture of a 'floating' sleeping baby (apparently a depiction of his own son) by British artist Marc Quinn. It is on display at the Gardens by the Bay.

Aislinn samples Khao Mun at a local Chiang Mai market: black sticky rice topped with egg custard and sprinkled with toasted mung beans, served on a banana leaf - absolutely delicious!
